| Emergency Medicine 2006 Lifelong Learning and Self-Assessment (LLSA) Review |
|
Course
Description
|
|
This course is based on the 20 articles of the American Board of Emergency Medicine 2006 Lifelong Learning and Self-Assessment (LLSA) program. This course is taken entirely on-line.
Each of the 20 ABEM LLSA articles has been summarized by a Harvard Emergency Medicine faculty member with expertise in that area. These summaries stress the key points of the article, providing the information crucial to passing the 2005 LLSA exam.
Featured faculty for this year include: Steven H. Thomas, MD, Assistant Professor of Medicine Marc Baskin, MD, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics Shamai A Grossman, MD, MS, Assistant Professor of Medicine John Tobias Nagurney MD, MPH, Instructor in Medicine
The course works as follows:
1. Access the 2006 LLSA readings. 2. Download the 20 Harvard EM faculty summaries, all in PDF format. 3. Take the on-line 40-question multiple choice test. If you answer a question incorrectly, an explanation appears and you will be prompted to choose again. You cannot fail the exam if you learn from your incorrect choices and keep trying. CME credit is granted after successful completion of the test. You will then be well-prepared to take the actual ABEM 2006 LLSA test.
